Jim McKinley
Founding Partner

Jim McKinley is a Founding Partner of 360Partners.  Jim has a wide range of experience in such areas as online marketing, small company growth, and technology. 

Prior to 360Partners, Jim was a Co-Founder and Vice President of Marketing & Sales of venture-backed startup SmartPrice, Inc. located in Austin, Texas, with over 200,000 customers.  SmartPrice.com is a free service that helps businesses and consumers compare, select, and manage telecommunication services such as long distance, local, and wireless.   Typically, the company saves customers 35% or more on these services.  Jim is responsible for all of the marketing and sales activities.  The company was founded while Jim was an entrepreneur in residence at SSM Ventures.

Prior to SmartPrice.com, Jim worked for The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Dallas, Texas from 1995 until 1999. While at BCG, he focused on strategic and marketing issues in the high tech and utility industries.  From 1998 until 1999, Jim was a Case Leader with BCG. His responsibilities in that role included restructuring the marketing process and leading the implementation of a new marketing organization for a billion-dollar natural gas utility; evaluating the 5-Year strategic plan for Atmos Energy and helping shift company focus back towards profitable, core businesses; and leading the worldwide market analysis of a Japanese engineering company, which resulted in the redeployment of $100 million of capital into higher potential enterprises.

From 1995 until 1998, Jim was a Consultant for BCG. His experience in that role included assisting in the development of an Internet e-commerce strategy for SABRE; project work leading to the launch of Travelocity.com; creating and implementing a marketing organization for the trucking division of the Associates, a Fortune 500 finance company; creating and implementing a launch strategy for a new category of software for Allen-Bradley, a $15 billion-dollar process control company. This software product was launched and currently holds a dominant share in its market segment.

Prior, Jim was an information technology consultant for Andersen Consulting. At Andersen, he designed computer applications, interfaces and associated business operations for Fortune 500 companies and government agencies. 
Jim earned his MBA (with High Honors) from the University of Chicago with concentrations in Marketing Management and Finance. He also completed a BBA in Marketing and Management from Baylor University, Summa Cum Laude.  Jim serves as an informal advisor to several small companies in the Austin area.  Jim is married and lives in Austin, Texas.

Jeffrey P. Hoogendam       
Founding Partner

Jeff Hoogendam is the other Founding Partner of 360Partners.  He has deep experience in the technology and venture capital fields.  Just prior to 360Partners Jeff was a Co-Founder & CEO of venture-backed startup SmartPrice, Inc. located in Austin, Texas, with over 200,000 customers.  SmartPrice.com is a free service that helps businesses and consumers compare, select, and manage telecommunication services such as long distance, local, and wireless.   Typically, the company saves customers 35% or more on these services.  The company was founded while Jeff was an entrepreneur in residence at SSM Ventures.

Previously, Jeff was
CEO of InfoGlide Software, a leading provider of fraud detection and alias identification software solutions for insurance companies.  In his role as CEO, he oversaw the launch of the company’s first product, Fraud Investigator, secured the first lighthouse customers, and raised over $7 million in additional capital. 

Jeff also has over four years experience in the venture capital industry, as a partner with Intersouth Partners, an early stage venture capital firm, and as a charter member of the Kauffman Fellows Venture Capital Program.  While at Intersouth, Jeff was heavily involved in six technology startups, as an investor or as a temporary member of the company’s senior management team. 

Prior, Jeff served as a technology consultant for Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), where he sold and implemented technology solutions to Fortune 500 clients all over the country.

Jeff earned his MBA (with Honors) from the University of Texas, Austin, in entrepreneurship and finance, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (Magna Cum Laude) from Texas A&M University.  He is a board member of the Moot Corp Foundation, and has served as a judge every year in the International Moot Corp. Business Plan Competition since winning the event in 1995.  Jeff speaks at numerous venture capital and technology-related functions, and currently serves on the boards of advisors for several startup companies in the Austin area.  Jeff is married, has four children, and lives in Austin, Texas.


Chris Cottam
Financial Controller

Chris Cottam joined
the 360Partners team as Company Controller in December of 2004.  Since then, Chris has taken on the finance, accounting and human resource functions of the company.

Chris is a graduate of the University of Utah, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.  During his undergraduate studies, Chris completed a one-year accounting internship with the city of Sandy, Utah, where he learned the basics of governmental accounting. 

Following this, he
worked for SmartTalk, Inc., a venture-backed startup software company as an Accountant until he finished his undergraduate studies.  During his time at SmartTalk, he became familiar with corporate accounting in a small business environment and worked closely with management.

He began his
career in the healthcare industry, and has worked for two of the nation’s largest healthcare corporations doing healthcare finance and accounting since.  He started out as a Staff Accountant at Lake Mead Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada and was soon promoted to Senior Accountant.  In this position, he was given leadership over the accounting staff and provided assistance to the Controller and CFO in a variety of assignments.  

A year later
 Chris took the next natural step and became the Assistant Controller of Spring Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada.  In this position he reported directly to the Controller of the hospital and took on additional leadership and responsibility. 

Chris, who is
married with two children, enjoys spending time outdoors, mountain biking, hiking and practicing photography.

 

Crystal DeLeon

Account Manager

Crystal joined 360Partners straight out of college in February 2007. Born and raised in Lubbock, Texas Crystal graduated Monterey High School as an honors graduate and a Top Plainsman.  In high school Crystal pursued photography and was co-editor and chief of her senior yearbook.

Crystal moved to Austin in 2003, where she attended St. Edward’s University.  She graduated in 2006 Summa Cum Laude with a B.B.A in Marketing. During her college years Crystal participated in a wide range of organizations and internships. Crystal presided over Delta Mu Delta, an honors business fraternity, and was a St. Edward’s Student Ambassador and Tour Guide as well. She made the dean’s list her entire college career, and has received awards for her participation in the research of Austin’s 2005 and 2006 Ethics in Business Award’s. Outside of the university, Crystal volunteered at the Area Food Bank, Austin State School, and Coats for Kids.

Her professional experience includes internships at Intuit, the creators of Turbo Tax, Quicken, and Quick Books, and The Stone Group, a commercial real estate firm. At Intuit she was a territory marketing and sales representative where her duties included the merchandising, sales, and product management of 7 territories in Austin. At The Stone Group, Crystal specialized in market research and helped to create a pivotal research database that analyzed and organized the Austin commercial real estate market. The Stone Company used the data Crystal collected to analyze and determine both the direction the commercial real estate market was headed as well as the direction the company was headed. 

With this experience Crystal joins 360Partners as an Account Manager. She hopes to gain the experience needed to pursue an MBA. At 360Partners, her responsibilities include: building and managing relationships with vendors, working with the marketing team to help optimize and grow marketing campaigns, managing the sales leads generated by the website, working with the content editor to help create new and applicable articles on the websites, and measuring the financial performance of each site.

In her free time Crystal enjoys all outdoor activities such as running and spending time at the lake, working out, football, fashion, live music, the Austin night-life, and traveling.

 

Paul Franklin Garcia

Account Manager

Paul was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas.  He chose to move to Austin in 2001 to attend St. Edward’s University and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration.  He has focused his entire career in marketing, where he has gained valuable experience in several industries including cellular, private intelligence, university fundraising, and personal computers. 

After finishing school, Paul traveled around the northeastern United States as an event marketer for Verizon Wireless.  His travels allowed him to market in well-known areas such as New York, Niagara Falls, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, New Hampshire, and more.  He joined 360Partners at the end of February 2007 to work as an Account Manager.  He is excited at the opportunity and hopes to grow with his new company.

When he is not at work, Paul enjoys playing in regional poker tournaments, on the basketball court, or at the gym.

 

Michael Covey

Account Manager

A native Texan, Michael Covey attended Texas State University at San Marcos where he received a BA in Theatre. Michael was an active member and leader of Lambda Chi Alpha along with the TSU Chorale. In addition to his scholastic responsibilities, Michael was involved with the local community through seasonal theatre and has had the chance to tour through Europe as a guest artist.

Believe it or not, after graduating from TSU, Michael moved back to Houston where he worked as a sales rep for a Stainless Steel Mill. Alas, Houston was not what it once was, and so Michael made a daring escape back to the “Hill Country.”

Houston's loss became 360Partner's gain when Michael joined the company at the beginning of the 2007, and looks forward to helping the business grow.

In his spare time, Michael enjoys supporting the local music community and looks forward to being involved with the theatre community as well.

Robin Fletcher

Search Marketing Associate

Robin has joined 360Partners as a Search Marketing Associate in January of 2008, though she has been working with 360Partners since January of 2007.  Her job includes search engine marketing, search engine optimization, and landing page optimization (which, for the layperson out there, means tweaking pages on websites to improve and increase sales.) 

Coming to us with a BA in English from University of Texas at Austin, and currently completing a MA in Linguistics from the same university, Robin also has done coursework in language and computer interaction, usability, and community technology use.   In the past, she has worked as a student consultant for the committee planning the World Congress on Information Technology, completed an internship with the User Experience department at SBC Austin, and served in the Austin branch of Americorps helping at-risk students learn to succeed. 

In addition to putting her skills to work at 360Partners, Robin enjoys reading, playing tennis and board games, as well as partaking in the classic film craze. 

 

Imelda Wijaya

Staff Accountant

Imelda joined 360Partners as Staff Accountant in December of 2007.  Her responsibilities here include payroll management, collections assistance, and general accounting duties.

Before coming to work with 360Partners she worked as an accountant at 3M Indonesia, European Creations, and Value Industries.  Graduating Magna Cum Laude from Ohio State University with a degree in Accounting and MIS, she has been an invaluable company asset wherever she works.

In addition to keeping the numbers in line at 360Partners, she enjoys watching movies, traveling, and spending time with her husband and their two children.

 

Stacey Lee

Customer Service Representative

 

Stacey joined 360Partners as a Customer Service Representative in August of 2007.  She helps make sure that each of our valued customers has a pleasant experience.   

Though she is technically an Oklahoma native, don’t let her hear you say that, as Stacey has lived in Cedar Park, Texas for as long as she can remember.  Growing up, she cultivated her interest in photography, competitive cheerleading, and dogs.

She currently resides in Cedar Park with her boyfriend Steven, and their two dogs, Cru and Jaxon. 

 

Brock Russell Naylor

Account Manager

Brock was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah.  He graduated from Westminster College in Salt Lake City with his Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing.  After a four year educational hiatus--during which he focused on sales in the mortgage, building supply, electronic, and technological industries--higher education called him to move to Texas to pursue his Juris Doctorate at Baylor Law School.  Realizing the life of an attorney would ultimately end in early death and insanity, he re-entered the workforce.

Countrywide Home Loans was the first company to benefit from Brock’s return to the business arena, and from there Brock joined 360Partners at the beginning of February 2008.  His experience and frustrations as a lead purchaser in the mortgage industry drew him to 360Partners and their flawless system.  He realized the real deal when he saw it, and now happy to work as an account manager, helping other businesses get on board.

When he is not at work, Brock enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs, working out at the gym, or just relaxing with family and friends.
